" These are puppies that have been adopted into loving families!"

SUSAN & WALT, TIM AND TYSON; ST MARYS, GA.
w/ TERRA

Oh, My Gosh! She is so perfect! She and Tyson are getting to know each other and she has already established herself as Alfa! He will play with her right up until she says, " No more!" And he backs down immediately. He even lets her eat first! She initiates the play as well, and yips at him to get his attention.
Tim is in love with her incredibly smooshy face; he wants to learn about training her for show.... He just says she is so COOL! so far not as much calming down time as I would like, but she seems up for the game. I am watching her behavior, and giving her little extra doses of her soft food to make sure she doesn't get nutritionally depleted. I know that this, even though it is great fun for all, is also stressful for her little body with so much change all at once, and will look after her appropriately!
She let me trim around her little nose so we can see her gorgeous eyes better (and she really does have extremely long lashes!), and a little later I trimmed her nails; she was perfectly calm, never tried to pull the first paw!
She will snuggle up on my chest and fall asleep for a little bit, but then wants to go exploring her new home again. She has used her piddle pads for both duties; I have two set out for now in different places until she learns the house and I learn her behavior. We have Tyson trained to potty outside, and eventually we will move Terra toward that as well, when she is old enough and their potty schedules match better.
I just can't thank you enough for this gorgeous little girl. She will flip right over in our arms to let us rub her belly, so we do not expect her to try to be Alfa with us - just with the " big" boy! So sad that Walt is missing the beautiful time in her puppy life. I have to get my camera in gear!
I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip, and we will be in touch, I am sure! ~Susan
Hope you escape the now very foul weather! I just wanted to say that I love the tip about using a tooth brush for between & around the puppies' eyes! What a great idea! I think I will use Walt's.....!!!
BTW, Terra and Tyson are doing great together (no more barking!), and Tyson likes to sleep with one paw over Terra's shoulder! She's like his little cuddle toy.
Terra and my granddaughter, Layla, have a real connection. I got some great pictures today. Layla wants to share all her toys with Terra - it's soooo cute! Even shares her books (and Layla LOVES her books!) Terra is a little chewer, though, so I have to be careful as Layla is only 10 months old.
Take infinite care, my friends. Drive safely!
Susan
I just wanted you to see our beautiful little girl now that she is about 5 months old. She is turning the purest gold, and is perfect in every way. She is kennel trained, and the strangest irony is that my husband, a submariner, named her Terra Firma (land) and this puppy LOVES the water! If there is a puddle, she not only walks in it she lays in it and rolls over. If the ditch is full of water she dives in and even puts her whole head under water.... Hmmmm. Sailor names dog " land" and she loves water.....!
She is a delight, and I want to thank you for providing us with this beautiful girl. Oh, and she's NOT spoiled!!!
Take care,
Susan

10/12/09 Kevin and Lori, Here is our little beauty... She has not come into heat yet, but we are expecting it soon. We will of course wait until her second heat to consider breeding her. She is SOOO smart! And both Walter and my oldest son Adam, who recently moved back in, hold her in their hearts as a favorite among our Shih Tzu!
Here is what her registered name will be (keep in mind the whole sailor/land/water-loving dog thing): "Mystique's Land of Milk and Honey," and "Terra" for our pet name. She is turning the most beautiful shade of gold, just like honey. I have not had her trimmed yet, as I want her professional photo for my website to show her black points, and I am not sure how much of that will simply disappear if I trim her!
Hope all is well, and I continue to track your website. We are looking for a TINY TINY male, adult weight around 5 lbs. I like chocolate; Walter likes Blue. We need to find him and bring him home around Christmas time or so.... So if you know of any that I should look at (with Champion lines) please let me know!
Thanks for the best pup in the world,
Susan

12/22/09 Lori, Just had to share Terra's most recent pictures. She know when she looks good! Is she not one of the most beautiful pups you have ever sold?!! LOL. She had had her first season, so I expect that in about 6 months we will try breeding her....
Thanks for our beauty.

KOURTNE w/ 'BELLA REESE'; BELLEVILLE, IL.
Lori & Kevin, Here are a couple of cute ones I've taken so far. Did I mention when I brought her home for the first time, she dug right into her dog food!!! And then we laid down for a nap and she pranced up to me, nudged my wrist and rolled over on her back, stretching both paws in opposite directions, like she was saying " ok, scratch here"...she made it her home from the second she came in!
Send you some pics when we get a Halloween outfit picked out ;)
Kourtne

6/13/10 Bella is quite the rambunctious and energetic dog! When I bring her home for visits with my parent's shih tzu, she leaves them worn out and needing to sleep and rest for a few days afterwards! She plays tug-of-war with me and her toys. She is quite the little fetcher, too. And she loooooooves to chew! We like to go on walks around our apartment, go to the dog park (to play with other people-not dogs, haha!), stare out the patio door and ferociously bark and growl when a neighbor or another dog passes by, and go on care rides. Bella has been the perfect companion! She is so good when I trim her nails and hair! Hope all is well with you. Thank you for such a wonderful daughter!

TOM & AUDREY, TOMMY, NICOLAS AND ANTHONY; ORLAND PARK, IL
w/ 'ROCCO'!
Hi Lori,
We are doing great!!!!! The boys are so happy to have a puppy. Rocco was nervous for about 20 minutes after we left you today. He seemed hot, tired, confused. So we let him snuggle with his blanket in a soft dog bed in the car, and he calmed down. We had a nice quiet car ride home.
We feed him right at 5:00pm, he ate more than half of a 1/2 cup of food mix. He is pretty tired from all the excitement. He loved the grass all around the house. If we weren't sure if he had to go, we went outside just in case. One poop in the house when we got home. I had a piddle pad out but I think he didn't know where it was yet. He was too busy exploring.
His tail is always wagging, he is very playful, and when he is tired we let him rest in the crate. The boys understand not to bother him in the crate, his safe place.
I'm sure I'll questions after a full day tomorrow. Thank you so much for such a lovable puppy
Audrey

Hi Lori,
Mr. adorable is melting all of are hearts. Rocco is adjusting. Very perky and tail always wagging. My boys have been wonderful with Rocco and very respectful of our new pup. They are letting him have his space. Rocco likes to sleep in the same room when they play their games or watch TV, but the boys understand not to bother him when he is in one of his beds. I hope this keeps up because the normal frat party is on hiatis!!!!!!!
We took him to the vet yesterday. The vet said " he came from a very good litter and is perfect". We told him, we knew that already. Mama and Papa Gooch are great breeders.
I have a question about nighttime. Rocco seems very awake at night. He cried quieter last night, but pretty much cat napped and sat up watching me try and sleep from the crate (his bed we call it). I took him out every 2 hours hoping it would be the last time each time. In between going out to pee he would settle down maybe 30 minutes then sitting up whimpering. I would say go to bed and rub him with my finger through the cage to stall him or calm him down. This works for a short time but he seems out of sorts. What should I do to get a 3 to 4 hour stretch or more of sleep? Move the crate out of the Room? How long should I expect him to hold it?
Rocco seems to be enjoying our night time tussle, just me and him. He misses you because he wants me to kiss him like you did.
Audrey

Lori,
Your advise is always so helpful. Rocco is a superstar this am!!!!!!! He went 6 hours in the crate last night without needing to go out. We slept. He seems to like his new home. Just wanted to let you know we are doing better at night. Take care of your mama, I hope she comes home soon.

ANDREW AND DEIDRA w/ COCOA!; DAHLGREN, IL
Hello Kevin & Lori! Cocoa is doing great! She has us completely in love with her and she is truly a Good Girl! She has only had 1 accident in the house so far and that was my own fault because she had woke up from her nap and instead of taking her out immediately I tried to quickly switch the laundry over and she just couldn't wait. (I knew better) We have figured out the secret to her sleeping at night. We originally put her in her crate in the dining room and each night she cried a little longer until she began crying all night long. So instead of giving in and letting her sleep in the bed with us we decided to try putting her in her crate in our room and she sleeps like a baby! She just needs to be able to see or hear us and she is fine.
Today is my first day back at work and my sweet mother n law and 4 year old nephew went over at 11am and are going again at 3 pm to let her out to potty and play. I just got the report from them and they said she had no accidents in the crate, pottied outside for them and then chased my nephew around the yard for about 30 minutes! That is why I say she is truly a Good Girl. She is such a sweetie! We are blessed to have her in our family. I will say that I am a little jealous over how much she loves Andy!!! :) I think I need to remind her that I am the one taking her out to potty at 3:30am. lol!!!
I will give her a smooch from you and try to get some pictures your way so you can see how much she is thriving!
Thanks for everything!
God Bless,
Deidra
Here are just a few of the many pics of Cocoa that have been taken! :) Enjoy!

9/16/09 Hello Lori & Kevin. Hope you are doing good. Andy said it was a nice surprise bumping in to you guys last weekend.
Cocoa is doing great! She weighs 5 lbs now and is playful and so curious and fun. We had our community Fall Festival last weekend so Cocoa got dressed up and she & I rode in the parade with Andy's work crew from . . . . . in . . . . . Let me tell you she was a big hit! Everyone was commenting on how cute our puppy was! Which we are well aware of! lol She looked so cute we had to send you pictures of how cute she looked that night.
We saw on the website your new litter! How exciting! They look beautiful!
Take care and God Bless!

Hey Lori & Kevin! Hope this finds you well! Have you sold any of your puppies for Christmas? Do you still have the black puppy available from Dottie's litter? I would eventually like to get another one, but I don't think we're ready quite yet! But we will definitely be back to see you when we are! Here's the latest on our little Cocoa......
Cocoa is up to 8.5 pounds now! Her vet thinks she is close to full grown. She said Cocoa might hit 9lbs but that is probably about it! (You guys were right. You guessed 7-9 pounds full grown for Cocoa.) Which we love her size, it's perfect! She is a good eater and loves a treat, especially baby carrots! (thanks for that tip) :) She is completely housebroken and just whines and goes and sits at the door when she needs to do her business! ;) She loves to go on walks and have her belly rubbed. She loves to sit & look out the front door so she doesn't miss anything! She has these bursts of energy about suppertime every night where she literally runs through the house like the Tasmanian Devil! lol Sound effects and all!~ Andy and I like to think of it as her "Happy Dance" because this happens when we are all home at the end of the day. We think this is her favorite time when we are both home to spoil her! Cocoa loves people! She likes to go visit her grandmas and she is great with our nephews and niece! My in-laws have a 70lb boxer and Cocoa loves to antagonize her. Good thing Roxy is a patient boxer! Cocoa does not see size as a threat! Must be the "little dog syndrome" I have heard about! She has been such a blessing to us. She keeps us entertained for sure!
I have included her Christmas snapshots that I took of her! Sorry for so many but they were all so good I wanted you to see them all! She looked so cute in her Santa outfit and she did so good posing for the pics! What a ham! Enjoy!
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
God Bless,
Andrew & Deidra

June 2, 2010 It was so good visiting with you today! Cocoa and I really enjoyed seeing you, Kevin and the sweet ladies at Father's Heart. Here are the pics taken today and an extra that I took of her for her birthday! She is such a trooper and always flatters me by posing for a picture even though I am sure she hates it! :) Take care and stay in touch!
God Bless!

TOM & DAWN AND AMANDA; SANFORD, MI.
w/ MISHU'S RED HOT RUBY of GOOCHIE!

Hello Lori and Kevin,
We have arrived home with our beautiful Goochie puppy you called Jewel. Her new name is going to be Mishu's Red Hot Ruby of Goochie.
When she arrived she was dressed in a sweet little dress and she had a beautiful blanket I bet Lori made. We are so happy with her. Tom took pictures of myself and our daughter Amanda.
I can not thank you folks enough for working with me to place this little girl with us. She is my birthday present as she was born as you know on my birthday
in April. I have watched her grow and develop on your web site. Lori has been great about sending pictures and keeping me informed about my baby girl.
I sure would recommend Lori and Kevin to any Family looking for a top quality Shih Tzu puppy. We have been breeding for over 30 years and we know quality when we see it and handle it.
I want to send a special thank you to Kevin for going that extra way for shipping her to us today.
She has been playing with all of us and you can tell she has been well taken care of.
I hope that the puppy you pick from us will make you as happy as Ruby has made the Shepherd family.
Your Doggie Friends,
Dawn and Tom Shepherd of Mishu Shih Tzu from Michigan

w/ BELLA!
April 12, 2010 Bella is doing great! She is putting on a little weight so we are walking about every night. She likes my daughters doggie treats and think that may be contributing to the extra pounds. I will send some pictures soon. Hope all is well on your end.
Thanks again!
