CHERYL & EBONY!; MARION, IL.
" Hi, Kevin & Lori! I just wanted to let you know that I renamed Ebony. She's now Molly!
She's been doing great with her potty pads and she's going potty outside more and more.
I have some pictures but can't seem to download them to my laptop so I'll send them later.
My boyfriend wasn't crazy about getting such a small dog, but even he can't seem to resist her adorableness! :) Take Care."

RODNEY & JULIE, CASSIDY, NICHOLIS, BAILEY AND CALLIE; COULTERVILLE, IL.
SHELBY, w/ GOOBY; DEITERICH, IL.

"Hi Lori! My computer crashed the day we brought Gooby home, and I just got it back yesterday. (that is why I have not written sooner) We just saw the letter you wrote "from Gooby" on your web site yesterday. That was soooo cute! Thank you for posting that, Shelby got a big kick out of it.
Gooby is doing so good. He loves people, all people, just so long as they are paying attention to him. He loves to be played with and cuddled! He definitely knows his name too, because if you call him from another room he comes running!
He is doing much better with potty training since we started taking him outside to go, which has been a real challenge this week, with the frigid weather, but that just makes him go even faster! As long as we take him out at least every hour when he is awake, he does great. He is doing better at nighttime too! A few nights this week he has slept in his crate until 4 a.m. We put him in his crate beside Shelby's bed when she goes to bed, and she sings him to sleep, then whenever he has to go potty, he whines and cries and I get him out to go potty, then usually put him in bed with me to get him back to sleep quicker. Then he sleeps again until I get up for work. It is all very exhausting sometimes, but he is worth it. Everyone keeps telling us that by the time he is nine months old, we should be completely potty trained, but until then, just be patient and consistent. He is just such a joy to have in the house and so easy to love!
Thank you so much for giving him such a good start. I know he is such a loving puppy because he was so loved and spoiled by you! I will send you some pictures soon!
Thanks so much again!" Libbi, Shelby and Cash

BOB & ELIZABETH, BRITTNEY AND MATTHEW; MURPHYSBORO, IL.
SHANE & JENNIFER, w/ PRINCESS RUTHIE; MARION, IL.
" Thank you so much.
Ruthie is doing great . She is so sweet we love her so much .
"Mom and Pop Gooch, this is Ruthie, I just wanted to let you know I am doing great! I love my two big sisters.
My mom takes pictures of me daily, she will send you pictures soon.
I am getting bigger by the day! I have got to where I go potty outside with the big girls. The only thing I don't care for is riding in my car seat but I am sure we will adapt to that.
I went for my first check up and the doctor told me I was a very healthy little girl and there was a good chance my only problem I would experience would be is extreme spoiling!"
Are you sure that Red Rocket is my dad ????
There is know denying this little one .
All is very good here. I love my sissy's .
Miss you come by and see me sometime!
I'm always at work with mom. ~ Love Ruthie
Logan & Ashlan, Gilligan - " It was the best Christmas ever!"
" And then mom said we were getting 2 puppies!"
Gilligan & Godfrey

" Dear Kevin & Lori! Gilligan and Godfrey's mom; Amy here. Sorry its taken so long to write, its been busy & crazy at our house as usual. Just want to give you an update on our boys.
They are both doing awesome. They're growing like weeds. I say Godfrey is getting close to six pounds and Gilligan is usually a half pound behind.
Even though we've had them for less than two months, it seems like we've had them forever! It's hard to remember what life was like before they became a part of our family. They are just so much fun to be with. They are typical brothers, they fight, wrestle around and chase each other, but they crawl up in their bed to sleep and they lay all over each other. They absolutely hate to be separated.
They definately have their own unique personalities. Godfrey is such a lover! He always wants attention and cuddles. He is very curious and always wants to be right in the middle of everything. He can also be a little mischevious! Gilligan is also very loving, but tends to like a little more time to himself. When he's had enough attention he'll crawl into bed or into his crate and take a little rest. He loves to play fetch with the little tennis balls you gave us! Logan and Ashlan absolutely love them and are wonderful with them. They help me groom them, give them baths, feed them, but not clean up their messes! They are doing really well with the housetraining, and have very few accidents. When I crate them during the day they never go in their crate. One day last week I had them crated for about 4 hours which was longer than I had planned to, but they were doing just fine when I got back to the house, they weren't going crazy or anything. They usually take their naps when they have to be crated. I don't keep them in their crate at night but they are confined to an area of our kitchen. The first night they whimpered for about 5 minutes but then were quiet the rest of the night. They hardly ever make a peep at night. I know it helps tremendously that they have each other.
I take them with me to the daycare where I work 2 or 3 days a week, of the 4 days I work. The kids just love them and do really well with them. I know Gilligan & Godfrey just love all the attention they get. When we get home at night they are so pooped from all the playing they usually don't move for about an hour!
I've taken them to the groomers once to have their face, bellys, bottoms and feet trimmed and she said they both did great for her. I have given them three baths myself and they did really well too. They will probably go back in a couple of weeks to get an all over clipping. I hate to do it because I just love their beautiful coats, but that way they will be all cleaned up for when they go sometime next month to get neutered. And it will be a whole lot easier to keep clean once they start spending more time outside once it warms up. Well we are all looking forward to spring and getting to spend more time outside playing and going for walks. I can't wait to take them to the park this summer and show them off when we go to the kid's ball games! Everyone that sees them thinks they are so beautiful and adorable and we do too.
I will send you some pictures when I get them downloaded onto my computer.
Thanks again for our beautiful boys! Take care and God Bless." ~ Amy G.

Kristen & 'Noah'; Lake in the Hills, IL.
" Hi Lori! Noah is doing wonderful! He is adjusting to my family and I VERY well, he has 6 people to play with and he loves it.
He's also adjusting to the snow and cold weather really well too! Sometimes he even plays in the snow!
He is doing amazing at his house training, he has only had a few accidents!
He's eating well and loves to play. I'm in love with him!
I'll email in a few days with more updates, just wanted to let you know how well he's doing!" ~ Kristen

" Hi Lori! Noah is still doing very well!
It was finally warm enough for him to go on his first walk today! It was a pretty short walk, and at first he wasn't sure what to do, but he when he figured it out, he loved it!
His new favorite thing to do is to chew on me instead of his toys, which hurts sometimes! I'm trying to teach him not to, and to chew on his toys instead, he is learning slowly lol. Besides chewing on me, he loves to take naps with me, it's adorable :). I'm still trying to figure out how to send pictures, so as soon as I do I'll send a bunch!
Have a good weekend!" ~ Kristen

"Hi! I'm so sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you, I have been insanely busy with school, work, and Noah! I've attached some pictures, and I'll send some more in a second message!
Noah does not sleep with me at night, he sleeps in his play pen, he likes having his own space at night, but when he wakes up early in the morning I let him sleep in bed with me, also when we nap he sleeps with me :).
I've been slowly lessening the soft food that he gets, and yesterday was the first day he had only hard food and he's doing just fine with it!
I forgot to mention before that we went to the vet (the day after I took him home) and everything looks fine! We're going again on Monday to finish his shots.
His house-training is still going reallllllly well, I'm very impressed with how fast he learned to run to the door to let me know he needs to go out.
He's so adorable, he's always right at my feet, following me around everywhere! Also the bitting is getting better, he still nips, but he doesn't bite nearly as hard anymore! And he's also learned to not chew on furniture :)! I tried to get him to chew on ice, but he just licked it instead, it was cute."

DEL & CHRISTINE, MADYSEN AND SOPHIE w/ 'ZUMIE';
LOVES PARK, IL
2/4/2009
Zumie is doing wonderful! He’s eating like crazy, and is already falling into our routine. Nights are good now, he doesn’t cry at all. We make sure to really poop him out before he has to go to bed. He also just yesterday stopped eating his poo (thank goodness!) We have been putting just a little cheese in it, and that seems to be helping. He already knows the sound of the microwave when we make his little “mixture”. (We warm it a little when it comes out of the fridge)
He gets so excited to eat, then scarf’s it down in like 2 minutes! I think he’s afraid that he will miss something if he takes too long! He plays really good, and if I don’t pay attention to him every second he barks at me until I pick him up! It’s funny, because we live in a tri-level, and when I wake up (Del is already up) he hears me get out of bed and runs to the stairs and looks all the way up and wags his tail and waits for me to come down. He does the same with the girls. We just LOVE him Lori- Thank you sooo much.
P.S. He really likes to snuggle with the cats and bite their tail. They however, are not so thrilled.
The only thing now I think is Chachi is still cautious, but getting better, and Zumie really wants to play with him, but every time he tries, Chachi goes up a few stairs and sits, because he knows Zumie can’t follow (naughty)! J He’s getting better every day though, and I’m sure in a week or so, they will be BFF’s! Well, I letcha go. Where are you guys going on vacation to?
Be safe, and have fun.
Zumie sends smooches to Mom & Dad Gooch!

Hi Lori and Kevin! Hope that you had a great vacation! Still checking the website and praying that Hershey, Frazier and Frisco get adopted soon!
My little Zumers is full of sweetness and love and a little bit of unintentional naughtiness. In order for there to be cuteness, there has to be just a little naughtiness, right? LOL! I just love our baby and Chachi is definitely warming to him too. He is on just dry food now, and still eats like a champ. Actually, I think I feed him too much! I am just so worried about him being small that I feed him whenever he will eat, and that makes him poop at night which Del is not in love with, as he is the one who usually gets up to clean his crate! But he cries when he does it to warn us, so we know which is soo good. He goes poop and pee wonderfully outside, but just still has accidents inside. But I have had several talks with him J and have told him we understand that he is still tiny and accidents will happen and we still love him and we will be patient. Lol! Every time I go up the stairs he barks and cries for me and now he has managed to climb all the way up while I’m in the shower, and he will be sitting there when I come out! He just can’t get back down! He is a precious angel. Thank you so much. We all love him with all our hearts and can’t imagine life without that little poopy pants (sometimes literally)! Haha. Talk more soon. He’s being a very good boy! I will let you know his weight when we take him for his next round of shots on the 27th.
